Bonnat, from Voiron in South Eastern France, part of the Grenoble-Alpes, was established in 1884 and still today creates world renowned chocolate using traditional machines and processes, over 140 years later. They are most known worldwide for their award winning single origin chocolate bars.
In 1983, Raymond Bonnat invented the grands crus, the very first bars made from beans of the same origin, which would later become the Grands Crus Historiques of Maison Bonnat. Introduced to this pioneering approach, Stéphane solidly expanded his monitoring of cocoa cultivation, even acquiring his own plantations.
